Eric Kennedy

Eric Kennedy, of Brookline, has been appointed CEO at Arbour Hospital, a private psychiatric hospital with locations in Jamaica Plain and Quincy that provides adolescent and adult inpatient mental health and addictions services, adult partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, and electroconvulsive therapy. The hospital also manages an outpatient center for patients of all ages and has community services that provide care for those in schools and other community settings.

Kennedy brings over 25 years of clinical, business and administrative experience in the behavioral health industry to the position.

Before joining Arbour Hospital, Kennedy served as both CEO and Group CEO for Acadia Healthcare in Lafayette, Louisiana. There, he oversaw more than 300 staff at three behavioral health organizations and led a $2 million renovation and improvement campaign across all eight campuses. Previously, Kennedy served as the first chief operations officer of Highland Clarksburg Hospital in Clarksburg, West Virginia, where he was responsible for establishing and implementing the organization’s plan for ensuring the consistent delivery of care to patients. Kennedy brings experience in leadership and decision making to address the challenges of today’s mental health care environment.

Kennedy received his Master of Social Work from West Virginia University.
