Arni Casareale has been appointed Chief Operating Officer at Arbour Counseling Services, a network of mental health and addictions outpatient treatment centers for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. Casareale brings over 20 years of program leadership and a strong background in clinical psychology to the position.
“What initially struck me about Arbour Counseling Services is the strong clinical team and their commitment to high quality care and customer service,” said Casareale. “I look forward to working on several exciting strategic initiatives and programs the organization has planned.”
Before joining Arbour Counseling Services, Casareale was Director of Acute Care Services at Youth Opportunities Upheld, Inc. (YOU, Inc.) in Worcester, MA. He also served as Director of Diagnostic Services at YOU, Inc., where he was the key contributor to agency-wide committees; implementing new EHR software, as well as behavior management and recruitment/retention strategies. For the last eight years Casareale was a Per Diem Crisis Team Clinician at St. Vincent Hospital, receiving the Ace of Hearts Award four times for his exemplary high-level of care provided to the Worcester community.
From 2011-2013, Casareale was an Adjunct Professor at the Massachusetts Professional School of Psychology in Newton, where he taught “Theories of Psychotherapy and Counseling” as part of the Massachusetts Community Counseling Program. In addition, Casareale has experience with substance abuse counseling in group and individual settings, including evaluations, treatment planning and implementation.
Casareale received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Fitchburg State College and his Masters in Counseling Psychology from Tufts University. He is a member of the Massachusetts Mental Health Council Association and the National Guild of Hypnotherapists.
About Arbour Counseling Services
Comprised of 11 sites throughout eastern Massachusetts, Arbour Counseling Services offers comprehensive mental health outpatient treatment for children, adolescents, adults and seniors at each center. Specialty areas at selected sites include: dual diagnosis and addictions services, home-based and school-based programs. Certain sites offer partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for adults. The Lawrence site has a Latino PHP/IOP program. The Boston Center and Worcester locations offer Child and Adolescent PHP. In addition, Family Stabilization Team, In-Home Therapy, Therapeutic Mentoring and Community Support program services operate out of several centers covering most eastern Massachusetts communities. The Arbour Counseling Services locations are licensed by the Department of Public Health and most have approval from the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services (BSAS) for the delivery of addictions care. Certain BSAS licensed sites offer Suboxone Maintenance, Structure Outpatient Addictions Programs (SOAP) or Driver Alcohol Education.
