Dr. R. Bhawani Prasad has joined the medical team at Arbour-Fuller Hospital, a private psychiatric hospital in South Attleboro, Massachusetts that provides adolescent and adult inpatient mental health services. The hospital also manages in-home therapy programs in the Southeastern MA community that provide care for children and families at home and other community settings.

Prior to joining Arbour-Fuller Hospital, Dr. Prasad was the Outpatient Psychiatric Director for Community Care Network’s Mental Wellness Clinic in Crown Point, Indiana, where he provided outpatient psychiatric care for adults and adolescents with psychiatric disorders and substance abuse disorders. In addition, Dr. Prasad provided psychiatric consultation services to Community Hospital in Munster, Indiana, as well as forensic evaluation services for the Lake County Indiana court system.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Prasad served as Psychiatric Medical Director for “In-Pact” in Crown Point, Indiana, an institution that provides services and support to people with developmental disabilities. He also held positions as Inpatient Psychiatric Director at St. Catherine Hospital’s Psychiatric inpatient unit and Chief of Division of Psychiatry at Methodist Hospitals. Dr. Prasad has taught as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Northwest Center for Medical Education, Indiana University School of Medicine, and as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois.
Dr. Prasad earned his medical degree from Osmania Medical College, India. He completed his internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and residency in Psychiatry at Northwestern University (Evanston Hospital) in Illinois. In addition, he is a member of American Psychiatric Society, Northwest Indiana Psychiatric Society, and the American Medical Association.
